For this Insecure Writer's Support Group day, I just want to say what I've said for most of my other IWSG posts this year: I need to get it together and have a consistent schedule for writing. I'm letting the chaos of life keep me from finishing my novel.
You can do it. You are tougher than that chaos!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I am not tougher than this chaos. I am defeated.
DeleteC'mon you can do it! But I'm in the same boat although not writing a novel.
ReplyDeleteI will do it! (Yes this contradicts my comment on Alex's post - hence the insecurity.)
DeleteHappens to everyone at times. Hope you get back to it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteFelt the same, Tonja, especially with the added responsibility of an invalid husband, so resorted to NLP tapes, works every time for me :0)
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult when we're responsible for caring for other people. That's for sure.
DeleteI know how you feel. I'm stuck in Killer stilettos. But working feverishly on 2 other novels.
ReplyDeleteStill have to write and post my ISWG POST.
DeleteI couldn't reply to your current post because I am boycotting all discussion of the K word. I refuse to add energy to it. :) I will keep an eye out for you ISWG post.
DeleteI am going to a novel writing conference this summer. I definitely will get it done if only because I paid good money for the conference. :)
ReplyDeleteOur posts were pretty similar except you have California weather, and I don't.
ReplyDeleteNeuro Linguistic Programming, Tonja, I listen to Paul McKenna's tapes on the ipod.
ReplyDeleteI think you just have to treat it like you would anything that absolutely *must* get done, like laundry and meals and such. Make time for it. An hour a day. Twenty minutes a day. Something. Fit writing into your schedule as 'you time' and you'll find yourself fighting for it more.
