IWSG - May 2015

For this Insecure Writer's Support Group day, I just want to say what I've said for most of my other IWSG posts this year: I need to get it together and have a consistent schedule for writing. I'm letting the chaos of life keep me from finishing my novel.

  1. You can do it. You are tougher than that chaos!

    1. Unfortunately, I am not tougher than this chaos. I am defeated.

  2. C'mon you can do it! But I'm in the same boat although not writing a novel.

    1. I will do it! (Yes this contradicts my comment on Alex's post - hence the insecurity.)

  4. Felt the same, Tonja, especially with the added responsibility of an invalid husband, so resorted to NLP tapes, works every time for me :0)

    1. It is difficult when we're responsible for caring for other people. That's for sure.

    2. I couldn't reply to your current post because I am boycotting all discussion of the K word. I refuse to add energy to it. :) I will keep an eye out for you ISWG post.

  6. I am going to a novel writing conference this summer. I definitely will get it done if only because I paid good money for the conference. :)

  9. I think you just have to treat it like you would anything that absolutely *must* get done, like laundry and meals and such. Make time for it. An hour a day. Twenty minutes a day. Something. Fit writing into your schedule as 'you time' and you'll find yourself fighting for it more.
