Vector is a super villain in Despicable Me. He commits crimes with both magnitude and direction. Oh yeah!
This is my favorite scene. Apparently my preschooler likes it a lot too. Whenever he says "stuff," I say, "What stuff?" His response is, "Super cool stuff you wouldn't understand."
I like Vector because he tries to be evil but he's much more nerdy than evil for sure. He tries really hard to be a cool super villain, but he's wearing an orange warm-up suit.
Vector does have cool gadgets, like a piranha gun and a squid launcher. My little guy chases me around the house with his invisible squid launcher. Awesome.

*giggles* Oh, he looks fabulous! I love buffoony evil 'geniuses'. My kids are past the kids shows, and I really miss some of this stuff.
ReplyDeleteThis is one that's funny for adults too.
DeleteHe's wearing pajamas! Funny movie.
ReplyDeleteI think Jason Segal does his voice.
DeleteIt's hard to be cool in orange warm-ups and a fanny pack.
ReplyDeleteVery true. I think it works for him. :)
Deletewait what? orange track suits and fanny packs are not cool? guess its a good thing I didn't get that bowl cut last night
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is my little guy truly believes he is super cool. We are a family of nerds.
DeleteLove the movie! The kids watched it last night. Of course they see it at least once a week anyway, but still.
ReplyDeleteIt's better than watching Cars repeatedly. I think I have the movie memorized.
DeleteWell, Tonja:
ReplyDeleteAs of Monday, I now have my 5 month old grandson in my care. So this is what I have to look forward to. Guess I need an education. Right now, he's into Thomas the Train and Miceky's Fun House but then again he's not mobile yet.
My kids are obsessed with Despicable me. That's all they want to watch, I swear.
ReplyDeletethis was one of the few animated movies, i was able to watch more than once--very cute
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this movie but now I love Vector.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the movie, but Victor sounds pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteMake that "Vector!"
ReplyDeleteI'll shamefully admit to falling asleep when we watched this at home (it was Christmas day and we got up at 5 AM...give me a break!). We own the movie, so maybe I should give it another try. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one, but I do love having conversations with people in "movie dialogue". We quote movies a lot at my house. :)
ReplyDeleteThis movie was pure gold. I loved it and like your son, my toddler loved it too. And Vector cracked me up! Great "V" post!
ReplyDeleteThis was a very cute movie, and I loved that Julie Andrews played against type in it! Julie
ReplyDeletei love that movie! And Vector is such an interesting Villain:)

Cool on the piranha gun. I'll have to see this one sometime. Vector sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great movie and yes, Vector is a great character.
ReplyDeleteThat movie is amazing with lots of lessons, but I found Vector's character very annoying!
