V is for Vector

Vector is a super villain in Despicable Me.  He commits crimes with both magnitude and direction. Oh yeah!

This is my favorite scene.  Apparently my preschooler likes it a lot too.  Whenever he says "stuff," I say, "What stuff?" His response is, "Super cool stuff you wouldn't understand."

I like Vector because he tries to be evil but he's much more nerdy than evil for sure.  He tries really hard to be a cool super villain, but he's wearing an orange warm-up suit.

Vector does have cool gadgets, like a piranha gun and a squid launcher.  My little guy chases me around the house with his invisible squid launcher.  Awesome.

  1. *giggles* Oh, he looks fabulous! I love buffoony evil 'geniuses'. My kids are past the kids shows, and I really miss some of this stuff.

  2. It's hard to be cool in orange warm-ups and a fanny pack.

    1. The sad thing is my little guy truly believes he is super cool. We are a family of nerds.

  4. Love the movie! The kids watched it last night. Of course they see it at least once a week anyway, but still.

    1. It's better than watching Cars repeatedly. I think I have the movie memorized.

  5. Well, Tonja:

As of Monday, I now have my 5 month old grandson in my care. So this is what I have to look forward to. Guess I need an education. Right now, he's into Thomas the Train and Miceky's Fun House but then again he's not mobile yet.

  10. I'll shamefully admit to falling asleep when we watched this at home (it was Christmas day and we got up at 5 AM...give me a break!). We own the movie, so maybe I should give it another try. :)

  11. I haven't seen this one, but I do love having conversations with people in "movie dialogue". We quote movies a lot at my house. :)
