Things I love about my husband as a father to my kids:
- He makes his kids his top priority and is unapologetic about it.
- He is the only stepdad among my teenager's friends that refer to him as a cool stepdad and not an a-hole.
- He thinks it's his job to change all the poopy diapers.
- When the kids are sick, he feels it the same way I do.
- He is who he is and doesn't pretend to be someone he isn't.
- He is an amazing example of kindness and generosity for my kids.
- He refers to his step-children as his children and means it.
- He loves his kids and shows it in small ways every day.
- He has infinite patience.
- He is quirky in a way that is endearing.
- He is amazingly generous.
- He always acts out of good will and love.

ReplyDelete2 things.
ReplyDelete1) That is extremely lovely :)
2) How is your novel coming along?
Hope you are well! x
@Kid - Thank you. Novel is on pause - sick kids and family chaos must come first. Luckily, I did a very detailed design up front, so I can pick up where I stopped. Edits on last novel also on pause. I'm giving myself an end of the year deadline, so I'll get it all done. :)
