Quiescent Quietude

I know the two words, quiescent quietude, put next to each other are redundant:  reposeful repose.

That is what I need today after a night of storms and no sleep.  It's what I need today and everyday - quiescent quietude - and not just in the form of sleep.  I need some intentional peaceful peace every day.  Maybe it's time that I start scheduling some restful rest for myself every day.

Today is definitely a good day to start.

  1. It is something we need every day. And I hope you get it especially today. (I sympathize. There were horrible thunderstorms with loads of wind half the night here. I'm drinking coffee and trying to wake up.)

  2. I can't agree more with you. I'm taking my time today. Took my time getting up this morning. Taking my time right now to read other posts. Got some de-caf brewing.

I'm in Florida so the weather here is perfect. But, I had a stressfull night at work.

Anyway, hope you're not where the twisiters hit.

    Positive thoughts to you.

  3. We did huddle in the basement last night. Laura, maybe we are neighbors....

The coffee isn't working. I am looking forward to rocking chair time with my two year old who was up last night too.
