Yesterday on Thanksgiving day, we went around the dinner table as usual and said what we were most thankful for. My baby is two and has no idea what Thanksgiving is or what the words grateful or thankful mean. So we told him this is the day we say thank you. When it was his turn, we prompted him to just say Thank You.
He said, "No thank you" in a matter-of-fact tone but with a little grin on his face.
Every now and then last night and this morning, we have told him, "Say thank you."
Every time his response is the same: "No thank you!"
This Thanksgiving, I am particularly thankful for my little guy and his little sense of humor.
