A Little Progress and a Release

A Little Progress:

I wrote a first draft of a query letter!

It's rough, but definitely a starting point.  Now to finish the edits on the novel....  I haven't been able to keep up with the pace of a chapter a day, but I've worked on it every day and am happy with the changes.

Thanks for all of your kind words and support this week.

A Release:

CM Brown is having a release party this week - as if you haven't noticed.

Desperate to save the life of a child he never knew he had, Sebastian returns to Earth to find Jazz in the arms of another man. A man he knows all too well. One who cannot be trusted! Sebastian worries if Jazz’s feelings for him have fleeted in his absence and he vows to win her back.

Jazz struggles to find ground between Sebastian and her new life, unsure who to trust and still holding resentment for Seb’s abandonment. She seeks solace through someone who was there for her when she needed help to pick up the pieces.

After coming to terms with her new life, Jazz is struck down with confusion and longing when Sebastian suddenly returns.

However, a dark battle is forthcoming, one that is bound to bring bloodshed.

You can get He Came for Mine at Smashwords and Amazon.  Check out Carolyn's site for all the details.

  2. Congrats on getting that first draft query down. It's so much easier to improve a query than stare at a blank page! Good luck -- and good luck to Carolyn, too!

  3. Queries are so hard. I've gotten more frustrated writing mine than I did writing the darn book. In fact, I think it's just about put me off from querying altogether. Good luck with yours.

  4. I'm glad you got that query letter done. I think I figure out my book blurb, yesterday. Writing the novel is so much easier.

And best wishes to Ms. Brown. I need to get her book.

    Hugs and chocolate,

  7. Congrats to Carolyn!

And yay about working on your novel. It's always nice to meet a goal, but it's great to just keep working on it even if you aren't getting as much done as you'd like. :)

  8. That first draft of the query is the hardest part. Now you can have fun tweaking it. I say "fun" loosely, of course.

And cool book cover. I've been seeing it everywhere today.
