One Step at a Time

Today is the day I am going to suck it up and do the final nit-picky revisions to the middle part of my novel.  Of the nine chapters in the middle section, I only have four left to revise.  And then I need to type them in.  Tomorrow I will print the pages one more time and read it through before I make copies for my beta readers and send them out.

Baby steps.  This step I can do today - will do today - although there's a force working on me that's trying to get me to do anything else.

  1. I know that force. The force that tests you with everything else. For me, it's the demanding hair lopping job, my daughters' problems, my grandson, the dirty toilets calling me, the bed calling to come take a nap, etc. The list goes on. It has to be the universe testing our dreams and goals.

  3. Shelly - Very true. You think the force is stronger for moms?

  4. Way to go!!! I'm going to disagree with Yoda. May THAT force not be with you.

And thank you for your kind comment on my blog. It was much appreciated.

  5. Bryce - I got half of it done yesterday, and the rest today. The force made me pressure wash the deck. If you mean my comment about your amazing talent, it's true. I bow down before the Poet. I can't wait to see what kind of fiction you write.
